My name is Jason Leitman and I have been living with Crohn's Disease for 25 yrs now (the last 11yrs diagnosed). For years I searched out support, and never really found much. I created The Crohn’s Disease Support Network – CDSN on September 24th, 2009. This network's goal is to help people living with Crohn's Disease, along with the families and friends of Crohn's patients. Family members and friends need support also because it is never easy to see someone you care about suffer. There is a large majority of people who know someone with Crohn's or have heard of it, although they have no idea what it is or how serious it can be. I had never created a website before – so I had thrown myself into the fire. The community of people that make up CDSN are stellar – and the feedback from members has been extremely humbling and cathartic! It is pretty common that talking about Crohn's can be difficult to discuss for many reasons. If I can be a voice for someone who isn't quite comfortable yet, it is my pleasure. I can be found in the live chat room often on CDSN; stop by and say hello! – Jason Leitman CDSN Founder.
